The International Engineering Consortium serves students by providing educational grants to IEC Forums, information on education and career opportunities and recognition for exceptional academic performance. Top students from the IEC's Affiliated Universities receive the IEC William L. Everitt Award of Excellence.

Many students receive grants to participate in IEC educational programs, thus learning first hand about industry applications and opportunities.

The IEC's vast experience with web education is being applied to serving students at pre-college and college levels as well as high school counselors. New IEC web sites serve both university and high school students helping them to learn about engineering, university programs, industrial careers, and practical applications of academic courses.
